SELinux - Why you should not disable it!!

Jamie Duncan of Red Hat will be presenting in his usual easy presentation manner on this often misunderstood security module. As his topic of discussion is SELinux, none the less he will answer any questions about Red Hat, Fedora or linux in general.

SELinux is one of the most powerful enterprise security applications in Linux. A lack of understanding of what it is and how it works often leads to its vilification or, even worse, its being disabled. During this talk, we will go over what SELinux is and how it works. We will also talk about some of its finer points, wrapping up with why it should be considered essential for any enterprise Linux environment; with the occasional joke.

Really appreciate you taking the time to present SELinux. Especially after a week of travel. Great talk!

    Hi Everyone.
Thanks again for making it out this morning. I had a great time, and I hope you were able to get something out of my caffeine-fueled ramblings. :)

Sorry I cannot make it this AM. In the meantime, Linux In The News:

"For years, Linux has enjoyed the backing of a range of big tech companies. How has Linux flourished while other open-source efforts have begged for resources?"

I'll def. post them. It's a slide deck multiple people I work with have used and tweaked. It can be anywhere from a 1-hour talk to a 1/2 day workshop. I'll also have follow-up labs and a coloring book!
