New Years Eve in Alderney

Details
There are 5 aboard and a couple of places available on a trip to Alderney, spending New Years Eve in one or more of the pubs on the island, after a day or two’s exploring the various walks and bike routes.
NB: must phone me to secure a place as I am filling from various sources 07989 387 807
The idea is a post-Christmas blast southwards to the closer Channel Island (60nm) leaving from Hamble on 28 December, returning on 1 January. Means a reasonable mile-builder and something other than racing.
There are two options on yachts, depending on numbers, and the boat cost is £160 per head, without sharing berths.
Boat - Beneteau Oceanis 37ft
- carries an asymmetric kite
- cruiser, 3 double berths, 2 saloon berths
- diesel heating and gas
- five days from 28 Dec to 1 Jan collect 27 Dec
- charterer offers a bad weather credit to be used before end of March
Other shared costs depend on the number of days: mooring fees, provisions and diesel usage - approx £40 to 50 (?) per head.
Shore dinners are to your account.
Meet at Port Hamble Marina and ample parking is included.

Actual departure time will vary depending on tides, etc. and the return trip from Alderney will be timed to arrive latish on Wed 1 Jan, however in time to get home and be back at work on Thurs 2.
Plan B in case of rough weather is to blast around the Solent and use the many ports/marinas for mooring practise and pub crawling.
Feel free to forward this note to anyone (must have some sailing experience).
Please advise back if definitely interested in going and happy to pay an immediate deposit.
