I am outraged at the war on women and want to fight for equality on every level.
In my private psychotherapy practice, I work to empower women and help them find their strength and voice. I have a post graduate training from the Women's Therapy Center Institute, a feminist post graduate training program for psychotherapists. I am on the 'Endangered Bodies' committee , which held an international summit 2 years ago in NYC. We have recently launched an international website and are involved with challenging the fashion, advertising and diet industries regarding their devastating impact upon women worldwide. My artwork also deals the prevalence of abuse and the idolization of all things male. My large paintings and sculptures highlight the lack of protection for women and children regarding abuse/sexual abuse. Beyond that I am relatively new to activism :).
I care deeply about women's rights to govern their bodies. I am extremely concerned about the impact of violence and rape perpetrated upon women/children. I am alarmed at the systematic attack on women on all levels, devastated by the lack of equal opportunity and systematic discrimination. I am down to join the fight to create a more egalitarian world for all people.
We Can Change the World
I am a feminist psychotherapist specializing in eating disorders, and low self-esteem. I am also an artist/painter. My current body of work is related to sexual abuse(which is available for loan) to promote the cause! Thank you, Caren
