National Random Acts of Kindness Week
Details
Hello, Kind Souls!
This year's National Random Acts of Kindness Week begins Monday, February 13. We don't need a holiday to share random acts of kindness and we certainly aren't going to restrain ourselves to just a week - but it's still nice that there's a national promotion of random acts of kindness as an excuse for us to heighten our awareness and that of others.
Take the RAK challenge x 5: Since you're already a Kind Soul and probably doing at least one random act of kindness a day whether you consiously are aware or not, go out of your way the week of February 13 - or heck, all month, or all year - to do at least 5 random acts of kindness.
RSVP here if you're going to take part in National Random Acts of Kindness Week.
You surely have your own sense of random acts of kindness. I tend to think of it as ...
Random = unexpected, not just for someone you know, a surprise for the recipient and often a surprise for the giver at the opportunity that is presented sponteneously to show kindness, try to be anonymous, not in it for the recognition.
Acts = can't just think about being kind - do it!
Kindness = something nice, helpful, encouraging, or otherwise graceful for another person, an animal or our planet.
Please help spread the word at home, work and in the community. With colleagues, friends, neighbors, children, and strangers.

When you commit a random act of kindness, you not only touch the life of the recipient, but you inspire others, too - and the goodness comes full circle to make you feel good. It's better to give than receive, I have certainly experienced.
The possibilities are endless. Share your experiences and photos on our site.

Have fun and be fulfilled!
