Run for Friends of the Haven @ the Colfax Marathon

Friends of the Haven has joined the Charity Partner's Program at the Colfax Marathon on May 20, 2012. This event presents a unique fundraising opportunity, as well as providing a chance to get the word out about the important work done at the Haven and the Baby Haven.

Think the Colfax Marathon is a boring run straight uphill on Colfax? Think again. First time ever, for any marathon: epic run through Sports Authority Field at Mile High Stadium, home of the Bronco's! 7 miles of water - including Sloan's Lake, The Platte and Cherry Creek. Plus the best of Colfax Avenue, surrounding eclectic neighborhoods, downtown, parks and amazing views. And a run through Denver Fire Station #1!

About Us
Friends of the Haven is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit which provides financial and volunteer support to the Haven and the Baby Haven.

The Haven is a residential treatment center for women with severe addictions and co-occuring illnesses. The Mother's House, a program of the Haven, specializes in the residential care of pregnant women and women with infant children.

The Baby Haven is the state of the art child care facility which serves the infants and children who currently or previously received care at the Mother's House.

Together these program ensure that women can recover from addictions and co-occurring mental illness, maintain and build upon cultural and family connections as sources of social support. Pregnant women deliver healthy, drug free infants. Mother's improve parenting skills and receive quality early educational services for their children. Haven graduates are self-sufficient, confident and productive members of our community.
