What we’re about
Meet other local atheists, freethinkers, rationalists, and agnostics. This meetup group is related to the Rationalist Society of Saint Louis, founded in 1948 to create rational community. We meet almost weekly, to share support and freethinking through discussions, presentations, and events. We know that all the currently popular gods don't exist - so, how do you live your life in light of that knowledge? Looking for a comfortable place to be open and honest about what you really think? This is it!

We are pleased to announce that we will be hosting the Respect Voters Coalition as our speaker this evening.
When it comes to ballot measures, including democracy reforms, Missouri politicians have weaponized ballot language to subvert the will of the people. Overturning. Tricking. Delaying. Blocking. Taking away Missourians’ power. Now YOU can help us pass a citizen initiative to stop them.
Together, we can BAN politicians from:
- Interfering with initiatives that voters have already passed.
- Attacking citizens' ability to use the initiative process.
- Manipulating language on ballots to mislead voters. We are Republican, Democrat, Libertarian, Green, and independent Missourians throughout the state working together to write a state constitutional amendment to protect and strengthen the citizen initiative process to ensure a government of, by, and for the people.
The proposed amendment is being written using input from citizens across the state, collected through a series of town halls. Once we have our amendment, we will gather the signatures necessary to get it on the ballot and convince our friends and neighbors to vote yes in the 2026 elections. We will mobilize the overwhelming majority of Missourians who want to keep the power in their own hands.
Check out the website RespectMOVoters.org (Respect MO Voters) to find information about the town halls, weekly volunteer calls, and so much more.
Presenter: Toni Easter.

We're meeting online these days - please join us! We usually have about 6 - 9 people at each meeting, and we bring information from things we've read or seen during the preceding week to discuss. Have you read a good book or article? Watched a though-provoking video? Please bring insight to share.
The link to join us online will be published shortly before the meeting starts. See the meetup page for that link.
BTW, most of our regulars don't sign up through meetup. It looks like nobody attends, but that's not correct.
Hope you can join us!
