Hey Roundup Meetup, I hope you’re having a great day. This email is to invite you to our next monthly training. This month I figured we needed to get some real “time tested” strategies from an investor that has seen people come and go in real estate. Alan Bourne will be our guest this month and has been in this business for over 20 years. He’s seen markets go up and down
and he told me today “Just like a weighing scale, if the real estate market seems to be going down, there are always people on the other side that are coming up gaining great profits.” That quote really opened my eyes.
Alan will be training us on his “4 secrets of success”. Being in the business since the early 1990’s, he’s pretty much experienced all types of markets. I like to hear him talk about how much interest rates have
changed and how he’s adapted to different market conditions. His 4 success secrets are:
COMMON SENSE- when we talked today he said “Kris, just because another guru or investor is telling you to do certain strategy, his common sense may not necessarily be your common sense.” Next is MATH- Understanding the numbers in real estate and how they determine whether you have a deal is key when you’re valuating houses & repairs. ENERGY- each investor brings their own energy to each different type of deal. Try focusing your energy on the specific real estate transaction that work for you. And finally INTEGRITY- I believe this is the biggest success secret of all because you’ll be dealing with hundreds of thousands of dollars of Other People’s Money OPM, and you will need to make sure you’re careful with it.
