The Christian Response to Darwinism

Of all the challenges to traditional Christian beliefs in the past 150 years, Darwinism has had perhaps the greatest impact. In fact, some contend that Darwinism is the mother of all modern heresies. How did Christians respond to the challenges presented by the new scientific discoveries and theories of the 19th century -- in particular, to Darwinism -- and what lessons can we learn from this interaction that are relevant to our situation today?

Dr. Jefrey Breshears is the president and founder of Areopagus Christian Study Center in Atlanta. His degree is in history and he taught history, philosophy and religion at Georgia State University, Kennesaw State University and Reformed Theological Seminary over a period of 18 years. Over the past 15 years, he has taught multiple seminary-level courses in the Atlanta area on subjects related to history and faith. Related to these courses he has written a number of short books which are available through Areopagus.org and has recently produced two podcasts which are distributed by Reasons to Believe.
