What we’re about
This group is for North Country Trail hikers in North Dakota! The Central Flyway, Sheyenne River Valley, and Dakota Prairie Chapters of the North Country Trail Association use this Meetup to schedule events and trail work projects on the North Country National Scenic Trail in North Dakota.
All of the group's events are open to anyone - you do not need to be a NCTA member* to participate in our events but we invite you to join us! Membership in the NCTA supports trail-wide initiatives but also helps the local Chapters have the funding they need to build and maintain the NCT locally.

5th Annual Hike the Half
NCT Middle Trailhead on the Sheyenne National Grassland, Ransom County Road 53, Sheyenne National Grasslands, ND, USFor those who like the longer hikes, this will be a half-marathon of 13.1 miles. Hike it at your own pace and enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Sheyenne National Grasslands as you walk. Due to the length, this is classified as a difficult hike. As it is in the Grasslands, the terrain is rolling with some grassy areas, some firm trail and some sand of the sandhills. All finishers will receive a medallion only if they have registered with Rennae before 9-27-2025.
