We did this hike back in April, and the views over Washington and Hurricane were absolutely amazing at sunset. This is a great evening hike. It's short, local and fairly easy to get up. However it can be a bit steep, so make sure you wear some sturdy hiking shoes, bring a walking stick if you need one and you might want to bring a camera!
Shinob Kibe Hike
Length: 3/4 mile (trailhead to the summit)
Hiking Time: 1.5 to 2 hours
Assent: +600'-650'
Difficultly: Moderate to Strenuous
Area: Washington, Utah
Trail: Steep, rocky climb. Follow the cairns to the top. Trailhead: Located at the base of the mesa on the north not far above the river.
From Telegraph St, turn south on 300 East, left (east) on Indian Springs Drive, left (north) on Red River Road, continue as it curves to the right becoming Apache Drive. Continue on Apache Drive, turn left on Pocahontas Drive. Turn right on Paiute Drive and follow it all the way to where the pavement ends. You can park somewhere on the road near where Paiute Drive's pavement ends, or, if the gate at the end of the drive is open, you may be able to continue on the dirt road a bit.
Note: We'll meet at Hart's in Washington and drive over to the trailhead from there!
