We are the Birmingham metro area's non-profit Maker community. Formed in 2012, we are incorporated as a 501(c)3 Tech Cooperative and opened the Red Mountain Makers makerspace at 5502 1st Avenue North to act as a hub for all of our activities.

Everyone is welcome!

Do you want to learn to use 3D printers, looms, microcontrollers, woodworking and metal working equipment, or even a soldering iron?  Do you want to play with robotics, wearable computers, flashing LEDs, or just make something beautiful? We hope all the tinkerers, programmers, engineers, DIYers and artists  who have interest in being part of a makerspace will come out and  participate.
Let your friends know.  Sign up for our Meetup group.  Come visit the makerspace.  Come make something incredible!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
