In pursuit of failure talk by Frode Odegard
In this (very) informal talk Frode Odegard, CEO of Odegard adVentures will discuss how he used a failure-friendly project philosophy to organize the world's first Getting Things Done tweetup in Oslo Norway on September 21, 2009. Starting with an idea of something fun he could do on his vacation, the project blossomed into having live video streaming with several hundred viewers worldwide, a webinar, two remote speakers from London, and a small hotel ballroom filled with local participants in Oslo. In addition to discussing failure-friendly work and why it's necessary for breakthrough results, his talk will also include a brief overview of GTD, David Allen's personal productivity methodology that (for good reason) has garnered a worldwide user base with an enthusiasm not seen since the early days of the Macintosh.
This will be Frode's first public talk about a failure-friendly approach to work. For a sneak peak at some of these ideas, see his blog at www.odegard.com. Be sure to follow @odegard on Twitter.
