Developing Windows 8 Store Apps using HTML5/JS/CS

  • Jan 8, 2013 · 7:30 PM
  • Qualcomm Building QRC (Qualcomm Research Center)

Windows 8 provides the single largest money making opportunity that has ever been available to individual developers.  Not only that, but it has the widest array of programming languages with which native applications can be developed.  In this session, we will cover the basics of the Windows 8 operating system and how HTML5/JS/CSS developers can leverage their existing skills to create first class applications that run on Windows 8 RT.  In addition, we will take a quick look at a few of the tools that are available for building games on Windows 8.  I Hope to see you there!

Bret Stateham is a Microsoft Developer Evangelist based in Southern California. Bret has been developing since the age of 13, and has been working with Microsoft Technologies for over twenty years. He spent a number of years on the admin side managing servers, networks and users, but has been a developer all along writing code for fun, utility and profit. Prior to working at Microsoft, Bret was the owner of Net Connex, a Microsoft Partner focusing primarily on providing training for SQL Server and .NET Development. You find him on the web at http://BretStateham.com and on twitter at @BretStateham.
