Calling all planters! Come participate in an ecological enhancement project at Campbell Valley Regional Park.

The Campbell Valley Park Association along with community partners will be planting up the 2nd phase of an ephemeral wetland and pollinator meadow. The restoration project will provide valuable habitat for a diversity of plants and animals in the park. It is also a wonderful opportunity to meet like-minded folks who are passionate about parks. Everyone is welcome!

The planting will be moderately paced, so you’ll be able to take in the fresh country air and lovely vistas while helping to enhance greenspaces.

Tools (i.e. gloves, shovels, trowels, etc.) and refreshments will be provided. Simply come prepared to roll up your sleeves and get your hands dirty. Sturdy footwear/rubber boots are recommended.

The planting site is located at the 1800 block of 200th Street. You can either park at the East Area Parks Office (1558 – 200th Street), or along the east side of 200th Street.

There will be a celebratory EcoBlitz wrap-up and appreciation lunch on Oct. 23 at Surrey Bend Regional Park. All participants are invited. Please RSVP on the MeetUp site.
