Please join us to talk about how large scale infrastructure is getting to meet higher bars of resiliency. There will be talks from Twitter and other companies working towards this goal. Talks will last anywhere between 30 and 45 minutes with a 10 minute Q&A at the end of every talk.
We will focus on scaling third party applications, determine the right tooling and how to get IaaS/PaaS right.
Schedule:
• Scaling Jenkins CI and Git Infrastructure at Twitter by David Johansen
• Scaling Multi-tenant Cluster Maintenance at Twitter using Apache Mesos and Apache Aurora by Joe Smith
• Measuring the infrastructure resiliency: monitoring at Twitter by Alex Yarmula
The folks at Twitter will provide refreshments and Pizzas. Oh, and coffee - the unofficial sponsor of reliability worldwide.
5:30pm - Open for folks to come in and hang out
6:30pm - David Johansen: Scaling Git/Jenkins
6:55pm - Joe Smith: Scaling with Apache Mesos/Aurora
7:45pm - Open for freestyle discussions / mixers
9:00pm - Looking forward to see you again!
PS: The talk from Jennifer Davis on Chef Metal will be postponed to the next meetup: "Baking the resilience in with Chef-Metal by Jennifer Davis, Automation Engineer, Chef"
