Thanks Craig for the food tips and tricks. You PPT had loads of great info and presented really well. Only wish we had had more time to dissect that! Let's touch base and see if you'll run a second session. Plus, I'd like to grab a few thoughts from you re: marketing and perhaps a bit more about James Beard recognition.

I thought this was a good Meetup; It was actually my first so I didn't know what to expect. Overall, it was pretty organized and not as chaotic as I thought it’d be. Squeezing 10 photographers, lighting, plus an instructor and his assistant into a relatively small space worked out surprisingly well. Martha did a great job wrangling staff and photographers to make sure they were being challenged and included. She was also on it when folks (and there was only one) were being a bit too moochy on the set. I don't feel we touched on the marketing aspect of this genre of shooting, and I was hoping to have taken away more food styling related tips. Craig Lee was great at distilling his workflow and some of the technical aspects to consider when shooting food and beverages. While the class was comprised of many photographic levels, it was ultimately the interactions with like-minded creative people that was the greatest asset to me at this meetup. I highly recommend attending one.
