No, but I have found that my feelings of returning to America, and those coming here for the first time are very similar, so I think both group can learn a lot from each other.
Yes, I have traveled a bit. I went to Japan, Vietnam, Thailand, Russia (overnight), and a few European countries. Mainly however, I have lived in Korea for the past four years as an ESL teacher. I taught middle school students in the Korean public school system.
To make a space for those moving to America to share their stories, and support each other through the trasition. Also, just to have some fun, talk, tell stories, and make new friends.
ummm... this is a tough one. For a while I really liked orange, now I more like green... however I like to wear blue.
My name is Rachel. I grew up near Grand Rapids, and when to college here. Then moved to Seoul, South Korea where I lived for four years. I started this group to make a space for people moving America to share their experiences. Hope to see you soon!
This is an excellent group of diverse people with stories to tell.
