I am thinking soaked cashews--nutritional yeast for the creamy "cheese" sauce and what kind of spiralizer did you use? Kudos!

THANK you all so much for bringing your delicious dishes and wonderful energy. Raw food truly amplifies our physical and spiritual beings, making us more connected to ourselves, each other, mother earth. Let us be nourished well to be able share our love and light! Looking forward to seeing you all in future events! For those of you inquiring....my Asian slaw dish was made with julienne zucchini, carrots, red cabbage, red pepper, red onion, mushroom, cucumber, chopped fresh scallion, cilantro, dessicated coconut and the sauce was raw almond butter, coconut milk, jalapeno, namo shoyu, fresh ginger, garlic. LOVE to all.

Dan, Sally & Sarah ~ Sitting in Quintessence and realized the Potluck is tomorrow! I just (20 minutes ago) signed up for Nicloe Daedone's all-day OMing workshop tomorrow, last minute. It won't finish until approx 7:30pm. so I won't have time to prepare, as planned. Please forgive the late notice and pass my RSVP's along to 2 beautiful souls on the waiting list. Gratitude for creating this and future events! Wishing you an incredible evening tomorrow! ~ s

Literally just joined the group..would love to come out tomo.. I rarely have free time so while I have it I would like to jump right in.. I am not a raw eater not yet anyway.. so coming more so for information and support to get started. Have no idea what to bring that would be suitable.

    April 18, 2013

    • Sally G.

So sorry to hear that Helen. Perhaps some high-vibey energy and fabulous conversation with like-minded people will give you the energy you need to finish your garden work on Sunday :) If not, then we hope to meet you at another event very soon!

Should we start a list of what people are planning to bring? So we won't have a ton of repeats?

    1 · April 18, 2013

    • Margaret

This is an interesting idea "but 'cept for" people say they are going to bring one thing and then they bring another. Another Meetup, you could list categories and see as they fill up, perhaps. Most meetups, lots of people bring in some oranges or a pineapple, or stop by Whole Foods and pick up a box of kale. Then, some people, like me, bring something they want to eat (in case nothing else is on their list), and then other people bring some kind of dessert because they seem to think that dessert if what you bring to parties and Meet-ups. I'll be bringing an "entree" kind of thing, mainly because I'll be coming from work, and I'll be hungry. My food will be prepared "from the heart" - I've thought it out, and seen which of my potluck contributions have been popular, and I'll bring one of those, because I like to see people enjoy what I bring. All too often, what I bring is popular because everything else if a fruit or a dessert.

      1 · April 18, 2013

    • Sally G.

I've actually looked at the responses and it's quite evenly spread out between entrees, appetizers and desserts :) We will be a fairly large group (fingers crossed) so I think we will have plenty of variety. When there's only 10 people, that's when you need to worry about having all dessert. I'm getting so excited to meet everyone!!

Perhaps borrow a bowl from a friend? or a local restaurant? There are also some wonderful thrift stores around NYC to grab a bowl for $1-2. Looking forward to the evening!!!
