Join us for a primer on the NoSQL movement and the evolution of Riak. We’ll cover the emergence of Google’s Big Table and Amazon’s Dynamo as alternatives to the relational database model. We’ll then discuss the open source projects that have descended from BigTable and Dynamo over the past 5 years. And finally, we’ll review the features that Riak includes to address the challenges of offering a masterless, distributed database inspired by Amazon’s Dynamo.
