Intro to Sewing with Chandni

Chandni will lead students through the fundamentals of setting up an average sewing machine (i.e., threading the needle, bobbin loading) and then show how to make basic stitches. Chandni will be bring some fabric of her own - but students are encouraged to bring their own to sew (e.g., pants that need hemming). Chandni will be bringing a sewing machine and some thread - but students are encouraged to bring their own. We will meet in the 3rd-Floor computer lab of the Stamford Library

Chandni ROCKED THE HOUSE!!! She has like thousands of hours of sewing experience and made things look simple to those who never did it before. I was in a group of four people who were sharing a machine and we all kind of learned from eachother (after Chandni gave her demonstration). It was great to have the others for moral support! She has already promised to give another class and we'll announce it when the date is finalized!!! This was a great class because so many people explained that this is something that their mother knew how to do - but they never learned. Now everyone knows how to load a sewing machine and sew a basic stitch.
