July 4th Meetup - Fireworks from the Nethersland Carillon, Rosslyn, VA

Here are some images from last year's trip.

These images are from the Carillon area of the park. However, awesome images can also be captured from the Marine's Memorial. Initially, the Meetup will meet near the Carillon, but if folks want to split off to capture other fireworks from other vantage points, that is cool too!

Some hints.. parking will be tough, so taking Metro is best. If you try to drive, the roads get closed off early, so be prepared to walk aways. Also, you might want to bring a beach chair. Even though we are meeting early to get our spots, the fireworks will not happen for about 5 hours. Standing can be rough. Last year there were vendors selling soft drinks and burgers/dogs close by, but you might want to bring water and snacks. Alcohol is prohibited.
