Introduction to Photoshop - Layers, Masks, and More!

In this workshop, we will be learning how to use Photoshop to enhance our images.

This will include learning how to:

• Set up Photoshop to increase the effective of the application

• Open up images in Photoshop, either directly or from Lightroom or Bridge

• Modify your workspace, so that your PS layout works to your advantage

• Identify tools available, including when and how to use them

• Use layer adjustments to enhance your images

• Add and use masks to make selective adjustments to images

• Create actions to save time on repetitive tasks

• Use Photoshop Camera Raw filter to enhance images

• Use various other filters available in Photoshop (blur, sharpen, etc)

• Understand "Blending Modes" and how their use can be used to enhance images

• Add add text to your images (great for cards or creating copyright watermarks)

• and More!

After we have gone through Photoshop and its features, we will spend our remaining time working on images, so that you have the opportunity to try out the features for yourself and get assistance as needed! So please bring with you:

• Laptop

• Mouse or tablet

• Card reader or have the ability to connect your camera to your computer

• Images

• Questions you may have

• Creativity!
