Workshop on Textures and Blending Techniques

This is the composite image will we be building in the workshop. With this image, we will practice all the techniques that are needed to build composites, including selection techniques, layers, masks, layer styles, and more.

I will provide all the needed base images for the practice.

In this workshop, we will learn how to use layers and masks in Photoshop to blend textures and/or other images together to create and exciting composites!

This will be a hands on class with the assumption that you are familiar with Photoshop, as well as layers and masks.

We will cover the various ways to combine multiple images/textures, including automated techniques and selective texture blending. We will also learn how to use plugins to add texture and intrigue to our images.

Textures blending and image compositing allow you to blend multiple images (images with images, graphics, or textures) to create new and wholly unique art. The combinations are limitless!

• Mouse or tablet

• Card reader or have the ability to connect your camera to your computer

• Images and textures your may already have (either purchased or created in camera)

• Questions you may have
