Shoot Star Trails

Spruce Knob in West Virginia offers some of the darkest skies in the Mid-Atlantic area. We will have 2 locations to shoot. From the top of Spruce Knob and from nearby Spruce Knob Lake. We will be up very late! Camping in the national forest is an option or spend the remainder of the night about an hour away in Canaan Valley.

There is a very basic campground near Spruce Knob Lake. Most of us will be camping at this site. The site does not usually fill up, but if you are serious about going on this meetup I would recommend you make your reservations soon just to be safe.

You may be required to book 2 days to secure a site.

There are also other camping sites in the nation forest if you don't want to pay for a site at an official campground
