What we’re about
This club seeks to bring together people from around Roanoke and the New River Valley (Blacksburg, Christiansburg, Radford, etc.) who are interested in outdoor activities.
We hope to attract a wide variety of people with varying interests and experience levels and provide a mix of activities (hiking, backpacking, biking, climbing, kayaking, canoeing, rafting, caving,?) that can be enjoyed by all.
We will also offer social activities to allow members to interact when outdoor activities may be limited.
To become a member, all you do is:
You need to be 21 or older.
Post a photo of yourself on your profile. If you do not post a recognizable photo of your face you will not be approved.
Recognizable photos are those that are from the shoulders up with a close up, no sunglasses, and must have 90% of your face CLEARLY visible in the pic. If it wouldn't work on a passport or an identification badge we will probably ask you to change it. The reason is to simply make you easier to find at events and for you to more easily find us at events
Include a name by which you want to be addressed. Nicknames are fine, first names are better. Ambiguous monikers and internet handles are not acceptable as we need to know how to address you when we find you by using the outstanding picture of your face that you included in your profile
