Stepper Motor Shipment

Hi Robot Fans!

I recently ordered 80 brand-name Kysan NEMA-17 stepper motors that are often used for 3D printers, laser cutters, CnC milling machines and yes, robots! These things are really powerful, and work off of anything from 5V to 24V. They're also a great match for Pololu stepper drivers (I think Michael has great prices on the A4988 and other chips).

I'm selling them on Amazon for $28 each, but because Amazon has a pretty high markup on stuff, I can sell them locally with a big discount. I want to make this stuff more affordable, both for tinkerers like me as well as for videographers who use the products I create. Anyway, you can pick one (or more) up for $14 each (and no shipping!) as members of RFoU. (For specs, see

I also have 50 meters of MXL timing belt, and some nice MXL pulleys that fit on to the motors. This is the same timing belt standard that my Ultimaker 3D printer uses. It's a perfect setup for a linear motion system (I'm actually using it as I develop the camera slider I'm working on--the Cinemon Stick).

Here is a pic of some of the parts:
