This Single Parents of Rochester meetup site is used by Parents Without Partners, Inc. of Rochester.

What makes this group better than most other meetup groups?
- We are a federal 501c(3) non-profit organization, so we get discounts and are tax-exempt!
- Our members are fully insured at EVERY event!
- PWP subsidizes 1/2 of children's costs, up to $8. Ex.:Seabreeze: $20, PWP kids pay only $12
- We screen members, verifying that they are indeed single and parents. Over the years we have occasionally seen a married man try to join. Creepy. He can go to other meetup sites.
- PWP is an International Organization, and chapters get together annually at our convention to exchange ideas, stories, friendship and good times.
- PWP has been around for 53 years!
- Group camping. We have a few trips each summer. Camping is great when you go with 50 people!
- Remember the non-profit and subsidy part? We usually camp for $10 a night!

The Rochester area group schedules numerous events each month. Most involve our children, but many are parent only.

Being single parents, and thus having only one income, it can be tough to do everything you may want to do with your kids. By joining PWP, the Single Parents Club, you can do more, and enjoy those precious years when your kids are still kids! Plus, you're kids will meet other kids and have friends in PWP.

Every child should go camping. It's part of growing up. It can be tough as a single parent to go camping. It's a lot of work. PWP goes camping 3-5 times a year. When so many families go camping together, it's much easier. If you forgot something, someone else has it! We help each other. The kids play. There are numerous campfires each night: one for kids (and s'mores), one for teens, and one for adults.

PWP has an open house/orientation session each month. Call for details on the next one. We also provide individual, private open-house sessions to answer all your questions. Check the calendar for details, or call 251-3647 for our information line.

This site is for single parents who have joined Parents Without Partners of Rochester. If you wish to see the details on some of our events, you must first join PWP. Only members of PWP will have access to the time and location details of events.

Parents Without Partners is an international non-profit educational and support organization for single parent families. Our dues are $40/year. Member's kids get subsidies, we have insurance for events, and we screen our members as best as possible to make sure they are really single parents (for our members' protection).

PWP Chapter 683 is a local network of single parents just like you! We provide educational programs, children's and family activities, and parent social functions where you can meet other single parents. We offer you a place to make new friends and get the support we all need in raising children!
