We are going to squeeze in a few more OUTDOOR CLIMBING IN NYC before the weather gets too cold to support inner city public school kids, we are going to climb at the Outward Bound outdoor wall again for GOOD CAUSES! The entire wall is reserved for our group only AGAIN, so no competing with other groups and you will feel great climbing for charity! NYC Outward Bound is located in Long Island City, Queens (only 5 min subway ride from Midtown Manhattan) the funds raised go to support our LOCAL public school students. Please notice that this is a beginners friendly event and because of the limited space please RSVP and make the payment ASAP!!!
At 60' high (5 stories high), the wall is the highest artificial wall in the region! The wall is designed to look and feel like real rock, and has great views of the Empire State Building and Manhattan's east skyline and it has routes from easy to advanced ones. Its in a way it feels like that you are climbing (the hight and the exposure to the wind and open spaces) at the Gunks, yet it only take 5 min from midtown. Because the space is limited to 30 climbers only so that you will be able climb more than you can. All equipment included in the price of admission: helmets, harnesses and shoes. Yes they require wearing a helmet is it pretty high wall and is outside. If you wish to wear your own equipment, you are welcome to do so.
