Meetup and BBQ to plan for Tinker Fest

Let's gather on Thursday, July 25, 5:00 pm at ScienceWorks Hands-On Museum and plan/collaborate for the first annual Tinker Fest (September 21 & 22). Other participating creators and tinkerers will be there as well, so it will be a wonderful opportunity to network.

Because this meetup/BBQ is happening at ScienceWorks, you'll have a chance to check out the museum and (if interested) get an behind-the-scenes look at their exhibits workshop. If you've got kids and a significant other that need to tag along with you, no problem. ScienceWorks is the perfect place to keep them engaged while we work on the plan for Tinker Fest. Special thanks to ScienceWorks for feeding us as well!

Please RSVP with the number of adults and kids so they know how much food to provide!

Also, check out the list of activities I proposed we offer/bring to Tinker Fest. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1O3SWQCSRC3zx0n5FbiNVozkewD7uVMvq-HBAwmG0DKc/edit

Even if you can't attend the BBQ, please let me know if you'd be willing to help with one of the activities or volunteer on September 21 & 22. We need YOU!

It was fun to see so many people interested in the upcoming event.

Don't worry about the heat. We're in a totally air conditioned museum, except for the guys tending to the grill in the backyard.

Sounds interesting. I'll be there: one (mostly) adult.

For just the BBQ this coming Thursday, or the weekend of Sept. 21/22? We'd love to have you, if you can spare any time at all.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
