Black Hills by Nora Roberts

April brings us a romantic suspense by the reining queen of romance, Miss Nora Roberts, with Black Hills. Whether writing romance and romantic suspense as Nora Roberts or her futuristic series as J.D. Robb, Nora is in a class of writers all by herself.

Lil Chance and Copper Sullivan met when Cooper was sent to spend the summer at his grandparents' house in South Dakota. Their innocent friendship deepens into young love but, like most young loves, life gets in the way. However, murder brings Coop back to South Dakota to protect the people and the land he loves.

For your bonus read, try The Killing Hour by Lisa Gardner.  While not technically a romance, Gardner started out writing for Silloutte Intimate Moments and now writes cracking good thrillers with a little touch of romance.  Black Hills features a biologist and The Killing Hour has the creepiest use of biology in a book I've ever read.  Be prepared to check the locks on your doors twice before you hide under the covers with this one.
