The Royal Oak Book Club was created out of a passion for the written word, a desire to connect with others who share that passion, and as an opportunity to enhance one another's appreciation of any given piece of literature through open discussion in a comfortable social setting. We do not promote a particular genre or theme, but are open to and would be interested in exploring any type of literature in which the group expresses interest. If you love to read, if you enjoy the stimulation, both intellectual and social, that such a group affords, then we'd love to have you join us.

Time to bid farewell to 2009. Come out to the last book club meetup of the year as we discuss "Skipping Christmas". To stay with the holiday theme, we will also be doing a book swap. I suggest bringing at least three books to provide a variety of books to choose from.
