2016: Analytics Self Service – How Business benefits from IT Leadership

Details

Come participate in this interactive session led by Mark Wu who will tell the story how NetApp IT provides concrete business benefits with self-serve analytics on May 10 in Palo Alto. Doors open at 5pm, start at 6pm.

BI and analytics remain the No. 1 investment priority for CIOs for last 4-5 years according to a Gartner survey. Recently we start to see a new theme: self-service analytics is white hot and rapid growing. 2016 is the year in which the vision on self-service analytics will crystallize: analytics tool vendor offering, self-service data preparation offering, enhanced data discovery, interactive visualization and storyboard, self-service analytics success stories from some large enterprises. 2016 is the year that self-service analytics becomes the new norm.

Forrester’s (http://blogs.forrester.com/boris_evelson/14-11-06-bi_self_service_will_close_the_business_and_technology_gap_in_2015) top prediction for BI is, “Managed BI Self-Service Will Continue to Close the Business and Technology Gap.”

Forbes (http://www.forbes.com/sites/gilpress/2014/12/11/6-predictions-for-the-125-billion-big-data-analytics-market-in-2015/) reported, “Visual data-discovery, an important enabler of end user self-service, will grow 2.5 x faster than the rest of the market, becoming by 2018 a requirement for all enterprises.”

NetApp's self-service analytics platform added 4,000 users within one year due to the right choice of technologies and balanced governance model. Mark Wu from NetApp will share how to make enterprise data available to a wide variety of business power users on a self-service basis while still balanced with security, scalability, and governance.
