Welcome Yoga Teachers and Studios!

Do you think running a studio or teaching Yoga in a rural community has unique challenges in terms of marketing, recognition and professional collaboration?

Would you like to work together to bring well known Yoga teachers, training opportunities, and more students to our rural areas?

Are you interested in learning about other styles of Yoga and having a group of teachers to talk to about student challenges?

If so- please join me (Ellen Schaeffer, owner of One Yoga Center in Foster, RI for 16 years) and a small group of rural Yoga teachers as we give form to an idea we’re calling the Rural Yoga Teacher Collaborative (RYTC). Some ideas we’re considering are an Open Studios Day where people receive maps to visit the many rural studios in our area, collaborative marketing, promotion of each other's special events, and offering each other free classes so we can experience different styles of Yoga. Our mission is to better serve our students while supporting ourselves as Yoga professionals and enhancing the prosperity of our businesses.
