A celebrated film director Alla Surikova is an artistic director and producer of the TV series "Provincial Museums of Russia". She worked with a team of documentary directors to create 40 episodes, each 26 minutes long, which introduce museum workers and other members of local intelligentia whose lives are in one way or the other connected to culture; all of them are totally dedicated to their work and try to preserve their historical and cultural heritage of their hometowns.

The viewer of the series get the possibility to look inside the museum depositories, to make acquaintance with expositions and artifacts that are not easy accessible otherwise, because the authors of films chose the museums, that haven't got much publicity or don't have an immediate name recognition and which are scattered throughout the enormous Russia in the little towns whose names were never heard not only by foreigners, but also by most Russians.

The geography of project includes the territory from the Baltic Sea to Siberia.

One of the main features of our series, recognized by critics and professionals, is a high level of image and sound culture, counterpoint and variety of film composition.
