Rust 1.0 Release Party

Let's get together and celebrate the first stable Rust release. The days of nightly breaking your builds are (probably) finally over.

There will be talks and drinks! Mozilla has sponsored T-Shirts and Stickers that we will give away during the event.

• Florian Gilcher, who has been doing Rust from (almost) the very beginning, will show how it went from a distributed programming language to the memory-safe high-level systems language that we all love today.

• Our special guest Frank McSherry will talk about (Big) Data Processing in Rust.

After the talks everyone's invited to hang out and talk about the good old days and the future of Rust over a beer, coke or whatever you prefer.
