Machine Learning: Leaf and Collenchyma

MJ and Max will talk about Leaf and Collenchyma:

We will show that Machine Learning, including the promising subfield of Deep Learning, are based on a few universal as well as intelligible mathematical concepts - giving an intuitive understanding of how latest Machine Intelligence works. The main part will then introduce the Rust HPC Framework Collenchyma and the Rust Machine Intelligence Framework Leaf. The talk will cover the architecture of these Frameworks and how they relate to other state-of-the-art Frameworks such as Tensorflow(Google) and Caffe(UC Berkley), some interesting low-level implementations in Rust and it's advantages as well as code examples and benchmarks. Leaving the attendants with both a conceptual understanding of Machine Intelligence and the practical insights for building applications in the exciting field of Machine Intelligence.
