Becoming a Rustacean with Brent Gardner (https://www.linkedin.com/in/squarelabs)
If you've ever had a passing interest in this exciting new language, come on by and we will help you get an environment set up.
Just in case this is the first you've heard of it, Rust is a new language from Mozilla, with some unique and appealing features:
• High level language that reads like Java or JavaScript
• Compiles to native code like C & C++
• Memory safety, but without a garbage collector
• Support for functional and procedural pradigms
By the end, you should be able to build and run a simple "hello world!". No need to be intimidated, all levels of experience are welcome!
