Rust Los Angeles Monthly Meetup

Now that Rust is 1.0, we can start building real applications. Let's get together and share what we are working on. If you are knew to Rust, this is a great way to get introduced to the language and meet other Rustaceans in your area. If you are a Rust aficionado, come share with the group what you have been working on and your experiences with the language so far.

One topic I would love to talk with people about is "How did you finally grok Rust's ownership model?" I think the concept of ownership and borrowing is fundamental to Rust and will be the basis of many peoples first impression of the language.

Directions:

The building is at the end of the cul de sac on Hayden Pl. The map makes it look like you can access it from other nearby streets, but there are walls and fences in the way. These are the basic directions once you get off the 10 fwy.

The office is at the end of the cul de sac. The large gray building is where we are meeting. There are two glass double doors in between these trees. There will be signage directing you where to go once you enter the building.
