Rust Sydney is back, with its second meetup! The first one was great fun, and I'm sure this one will be just as good. There will be 12.5% of the core team in attendance this time: Steve Klabnik was only in Australia for a few days around the time of the last one, leaving just me.

(What is Rust (http://www.rust-lang.org/)? "A systems programming language that runs blazingly fast, prevents almost all crashes, and eliminates data races".)

Thanks to Rob Fink and Palantir Technologies, there'll be a room with a view, pizza and drinks.

We'll do food and general discussion from 6:30, with talks starting around 7. There is still space for more speakers, so anyone interested in talking about anything related to Rust would be great: short talk, long talk, doesn't matter. Send me a message (even if you don't have a concrete topic).

Rob Fink will speak about ownership, in Java, C++ and Rust, aimed toward Rust beginners. Toby Hede is giving an introduction to Rust macros. And I'll give a talk about the "eliminates data races" (concurrency) from the tag line above.

(NB. Entry to the building requires a key after 6:30, so it will make things easier for you and for us if you're there before that time, or as close as possible.)
