Sacred Lands’ parking entrance: 1700 Park Street N., St. Petersburg, FL 33710. Take Park Street to Elbow Lane. Go west towards boat ramp, but turn left just before the boat ramp. Go all the way across the big shell parking lot to the gate. The sign above says SACRED LANDS. Yes, this is a hidden jewel:)
HEADLINER ROY SCHNEIDER
Roy Schneider is a touring singer-songwriter playing his original music at shows throughout the U.S. and Europe for the past 5 years. Twice a finalist in the prestigious Grassy Hill Kerrville New Folk Competition, Schneider has also performed official showcases at Folk Alliance conferences in New York, Austin, and Asheville, NC, and in 2013 was a contestant on season 5 of NBC's "The Voice." A successful Kickstarter campaign made possible the production and promotion of his most recent release, “Walls That Talk”, which debuted at #3 on the September 2012 Folk DJ Chart and was added to Pandora radio. Roy usually performs with wife and musical partner Kim Mayfield, and occasionally with a full band.
OPENING ACT DENNIS DEVINE TAKES THE STAGE AT 7:30PM. Dennis Devine -- Americana, Irish Ballads, Florida Folk, Blues and more
Dennis lives in San Antonio, Florida. He's a singer, musician and teacher. He has played music since he was a "little bitty baby" and has spent his entire life playing Florida Folk Music and traditional music. He plays several instruments and has been involved in over 25 recording projects as a musician and co-producer.
Dennis regularly plays guitar, banjo, mandolin, fiddle, bass, penny whistle and flute with several groups, and continues to study the rich history and performance of traditional acoustic music.
He is currently a member of the 97th Regimental String Band, a Civil War string band that performs at Civil War reenactments and theme parks throughout the United States and the south. He has performed and recorded with several notable Florida folk legends including Will McLean, Don Grooms, Jeanie Fitchen, Mary Ann DiNella and Cousin Thelma Boltin (storyteller), and plays with folk groups The New Sand Mountain Wildcats and Southwind.
