At the SAF introductory workshop, we will discuss an update of what has been achieved thus far and share an overview of the SAF’s overall goals and objectives such as:

• Help make fresh organic food accessible to everyone.
• Provide innovative programs to eliminate hunger.
• Integrate strategic intervention of revolutionary programs to increase production of the local food system at a much faster pace.
• Offer a state-of-the-art distribution/delivery system.

How can SAF achieve the above-mentioned objectives?

  1. Secure land plots for those who wish to participate in the “Match What You Grow 4 the Needy” Program, to create one’s own garden domain.
  2. Promote the creation of theme park community gardens to achieve the following:
    a) Explore the dynamics of engaging local residents and business establishments in a cause that touches the hearts and minds of so many who embrace the “Match What You Grow 4 the Needy” Program.
    b) Link mainstream America to an outdoor platform in order to raise awareness about children in America who live in impoverished areas of the country, particularly those who suffer from obesity and the lifelong mental consequences of improper nutrition.
    c) Set the stage for sponsors to align their brand with various sustainability channels to boost morale in overcoming the economic and health crises as a peaceful and viable solution.
  3. Offer local growers incentives to participate in the “Match What You Grow 4 the Needy” Program.
  4. Implement an adequate distribution and delivery system.

There are four ways that community members can be involved in this project other than being a volunteer: 1) as an active member of the SAF Project who will participate in the creation of the SAF theme park-like community gardens as a grower or as a volunteer; 2) as an organic food grower in the area who would participate in the “Match What You Grow 4 The Needy” Program; 3) as an SAF program organizer/director; or 4) as an SAF program sponsor.
