Unfortunately, due to only 2 people showing up to organize this event in Sacramento (and there is a lot of work that need to be done) with only about 30 people showing any interest to even march, and lastly the SF march afraid we'd take some of their attention away from them and interfer with their efforts in place with legislators - we decided maybe next year. People in Sacramento seem more interested in going to the circus and seeing these precious animals tortured rather than saving their lives. Very sad.
However, on Facebook there is a page titled "Global March for Elephants and Rhinos" Rosemary Alles is the guru of this event. Brian Abeel is from Sac and he's now working for the SF march. I've been invited to the Washington DC march and dinner with federal law makers
Maybe next year for Sac if more interest develops and there are any elephants and rhinos keft to save... I too am on Facebook . "Nanette Wheeler Carter"
Thank you for your interest. No one was more disappointed than I was just but 2 people could ldo it all. The cuty if Sacramento also hascan 8 week advance ofvevent to have permits filed. So this year go join SF.
