Cookbook Book Club - Food Blogs
Details
http://photos3.meetupstatic.com/photos/event/a/3/e/0/event_238661952.jpegFor this installment of the cookbook book club, I am going to mix it up a little bit. So far we have relied on traditional cookbooks. This time we will use recipes from well-known food bloggers. While many food bloggers eventually parlay their online recipes into actual cookbooks, it is always intriguing to see what many of these homecooks are trying out and thinking up. If you have not delved into the world of food blogging, there is something for everyone. Whether you are looking for something intriguing (like the Sassy Radish’s Strawberry Rhubarb Buttermilk Pudding Cake) or you want to see how someone else mastered Bon Appetit’s Roasted Chicken with Lemon and Oregano or you are looking into new vegetarian dish ideas, food blogs have a wide spectrum to choose from.
Some popular food blogs include Smitten Kitchen (http://smittenkitchen.com/), Lottie + Doof (http://www.lottieanddoof.com/), Homesick Texan (http://homesicktexan.blogspot.com/) (whose cookbook we have featured), Joy the Baker (http://joythebaker.com/) and Cookie + Kate (http://cookieandkate.com/). If you are not familiar with many, below is a link to my Pinterest page with my favorite food blogs. Click on any these and go to the Recipe Index on each blog’s page. There you will find a plethora of delicious recipes. If you need any help or suggestions, feel free to email me.

It is BYOB, and I will provide water, tea, and cokes, as well as the plates, cups, silverware, and napkins.
**A potluck item is required of all attendees. Any member's guest(s) must also bring a potluck item.
We hope to see you there!
If you have any suggestions for future cookbooks, please email me the title and author.
