Palisades Stairs and Canyon Urban Hike

Details
Everyone knows about the stairs at Fourth Street and Adelaide Drive in Santa Monica, some even know about the wooden ones near Seventh Street. Not everyone knows about the secret network of stairs on the opposite side of Santa Monica Canyon in Pacific Palisades.
This hike will take you on an approximately 5 mile 2 hour tour of these stairs in Santa Monica Canyon. There is about 800 feet of elevation gain (and loss and gain) through the hike, so bring comfortable shoes.
A hat and about a quart/liter of water are good things to have, too.
Afterwards we will meet for a light lunch at Patrick's Roadhouse in Santa Monica Canyon, famous as Arnold Schwartzenegger's hangout before he was famous.
I am limiting this hike to 12 participants because unlike on the Santa Monica side, the Palisades stairs are less used and go past private homes. Also the streets are generally narrower, with no sidewalks.
We meet at the low wall in Palisades Park where San Vicente Ave. meets Ocean Ave. I will have a red day pack and a white straw hat.
