All,

I'm going to schedule day trips to Malibu on weekends I have a day free (and this group doesn't already have something posted) through May when it gets too hot to climb in SoCal (then longer weekend trips :)). I'm going to alternate between Echo Cliffs and Malibu Creek.

This is sport climbing central for SoCal, so pack light and be ready to crush.

Required gear: Climbing harness, climbing shoes, belay/rappel device, approach shoes, backpack, food, water (2L mininum)
Recommended gear: Rope (I only have 1), quickdraws, slings, stickclip (I don't have one), sun screen, first aid, hammock

Warning:
1.) This is a long approach. ~45 minutes one way if I remember correctly. Come prepared.
2.) I'm by no means a professional. You are responsible for your own safety.
3.) I'll correct your belay technique or climbing technique if it is unsafe. I don't mean it personally, I just like to remain in a relatively safe environment.
4.) This is NOT for total beginners. There is not a great multitude of easy routes. If you can't climb most 5.9s, you might get in 2 routes all day.

ONLY RSVP YES IF YOU ARE 100%. I don't care if you RSVP Saturday night until you are sure. I'm limiting the group to 10 for the first weeks until I have some regulars who can help me watch the newbies help contain some of the risk.

Climb on,
Adam
