To Start Saturday, September 12: Prairie Home Companion Fans will get together every other Saturday night to listen to MPR's broadcast of Garrison Keillor's Prairie Home Companion. We will meet either in my home in perhaps Cafe Libertalia in Hillcrest on Fifth. We'll either bring in food or people can bring their own. The broadcast will be followed by lively discussion at a nearby restaurant or coffee shop. I'm open to suggestions!

Loosely, I imagine we'll try to get people there by 4:30 for a little chatting. Once the show starts, I'm hoping people can write messages on pads to each other or to the group so as to avoid interrupting the show (is that weird?). Of course some whispering and quick comments that are fun are welcome! Once the show is finished, we can figure out what to do from there at 7:00 on a Saturday night. Read more

“I miss listening to PHC on Saturday evenings. When I lived in L.A. the program that followed was Thistle and Shamrock with Theona Ritchie. I miss it too. No one in my current situation has even heard of it! Can you believe that?”
