"Thirty-Something Couples Events" was formed for couples (married or committed long term) who are in their thirties (or close) and living in San Diego to meet other fun couples close to their own age while exploring America's Finest City.

But how are we different from the dozen other couples groups on Meetup?

"Where everybody knows your name..." We're small on purpose. There are lots of couples groups on Meetup, but the large member sizes can be intimidating. It's hard to see yourself getting to know anyone well in a such a large group. So, in order to keep the group smaller and more personal, membership in this group is limited to about 35 couples. Our average attendance at our events is anywhere from 4 to 10 couples. Our hope is that you see the same friendly faces often enough that you can really get to know people.

We have multiple opportunities every month to get out and do something. Our group was formed in early 2008 and we have had over 200 events since. That's an average of 3 to 4 events every month for you to choose from.

We also schedule events with variety in mind. Every event is not dinner and drinks. Here's a sample of a couple things we've done: Bingo, bowling, BBQ's, live bands, camping, street fairs, rodeo, hikes, broomball, jousting, a Haunted Halloween tour... You get the idea. We promise you something new and interesting to do.

Do you have the time to commit to making new friends? Because we limit the size of our group, we do ask that our members stay actively involved. By joining the group, you are committing to attending your first event within the first 60 days. After that, you need to attend an event at least once every other month. Typically, we have events scheduled three or four times a month (usually on weekends) so you're bound to find something that interests you.

Most of the couples in our group are just starting out. Some have young children, and some don't want children. We try to schedule both events for adults only, and events that are family friendly.

We have annual dues of $20 per couple. Dues paid will cover Meetup's site-hosting costs and event-related incidentals. Please note that you may come to as many events as you would like for 2 months after joining TSC to see if this group is right for you. On your two month anniversary, should you wish to continue attending TSC events, your dues will be due for that period.
