Farm Visit - Coral Tree Farm & Nursery

Isn't it great that we have little farms so close to the city?

Coral Tree Farm & Nursery is located in Encinitas and is family owned and operated. Laurel, the owner, will be able to show us around the 2 acre farm and teach us a little about how they are grown. We can try our hands on milking the goats and sampling their milk and dulce de leche.

Since the tour is given for free, farmer Laurel ask that we support the farm by purchasing their vegetables after the tour. She should have kale, rainbow chard, basil, peppers, beets, and some summer squash available. They will be sold Farmer's Market style in $3 bundles/baskets. She may also have some heirloom tomatoes and fresh 1/2 dozen eggs available.

Parking is limited on the property, so please park on the street. We will meet at the driveway entrance. If you have any questions or need directions or got lost, please call me at (858) 735-8078.

Melin, do you have Laurel's email address? I would like to mail her the pics in case she could use them. Thanks.

She sells directly from her farm stand (where we sampled and bought our veggies) on Saturdays 8am to 2pm and Tuesdays by appointment. (Feel free to visit her any Saturday to buy more of her produce and milk.) She also sells directly to local restaurants. She does not sell at Farmer's Markets as it's too costly.

We really enjoyed the tour. Does she sell produce directly from the farm or at markets?

Hi everyone! Farmer Laurel wants to thank all of you for touring her farm. The purchases we made helped her meet her water bills for the month!

Laurel, the farmer, was a very gracious hostess as always and I was especially excited that we got to milk the goats!

I'm sorry we aren't going to be able to make it :(. Wyatt is getting 2 teeth at once and was up most of the night.

If no one is coming from your direction, the farm is near the Encinitas Coaster station and you can take a bike on the Coaster.

Hello everybody. I will be very happy to join you on Saturday, July7, but I don't have a ride. Can I carpool with someone from old town or downtown San Diego? If anybody can pick me up, I will be glad to meet you. Let me know please.
