Omkar Joshi, YARN Developer, will be talking about YARN's (Yet Another Resource Negotiator – 2nd generation Hadoop) architecture, including resource localization (distributed cache), resource scheduler, resource manager restart and security. He will give brief idea about how to write an application on top of YARN and pointers on how to contribute BACK to open source.

At present Joshi is working at Hortonworks, Inc., headquartered in Palo Alto, California, on security, resource localization and related
areas. He holds a Masters degree in Computer science from State University of New York, Stony Brook.
