With the exponential growth in data volume and variety, and the industry-wide shift towards iterative application development, organizations are rapidly adopting easy-to-use, schema-free systems in place of traditional relational databases. These new systems provider greater agility and self-service to developers and analysts, and enable organizations to leverage data that is not centrally structured.
MongoDB, Elasticsearch and Apache Drill are spearheading this revolution in operational databases, search and SQL-based analytics. In this panel we'll explore the trends driving this revolution, the advantages and disadvantages of the schema-free JSON model, and the future of this new approach to data management.
